Buff is the most popular and widely recognized color of the Orpington breed. However, there are other color varieties of Orpingtons worth mentioning. According to the American Poultry Association, Orpington chickens can also be found in black, blue, white, and splash colors. The first color to be developed in the breed was black, followed by Buff as the next popular choice. The white and blue variations came later, and splash is a relatively newer addition to the color palette of Orpington chickens.
